Auto-trade: connect your exchange
Key takeaways
- Connect once with a trade-only API key
- Choose one active timeframe, leverage and % of balance
- You can turn it off - and close - at any time
Before you start
You need an account on Bybit or OKX, some USDT on that account, and five minutes. Auto-trade runs on your own exchange account – Binandicator never holds your money.
1. Create an API key
Create an API key on your exchange with trade permission only. Never enable withdrawal. Read API key safety first – it takes two minutes and it is the most important step.
2. Connect the exchange
Open the Terminal and open the Auto-trade window. Pick your exchange, paste the API key (plus secret, and passphrase on OKX) and press Connect exchange. When it is connected you will see the connection in the auto-trade bar.
3. Choose your settings
- Timeframe – the one timeframe the engine should trade (1H, 4H or 1D).
- Leverage – your Active Leverage from 1x to 17x. Start low.
- % of balance – how much of the account each trade uses. The higher the number, the harder a stop loss hits.
4. Accept the risk disclosure
Auto-trade can only be enabled after you have accepted the risk disclosure. It is a one-time step and it is stored on your account.
5. Turn auto-trade on
Enable auto-trade in the bar. From now on the engine opens the trade when a new signal fires and closes it when the next signal – or the stop – hits. That includes the flip from long to short.
6. Follow and close
Open positions are shown in the auto-trade window with entry, size, stop and result. Want out early? Press CLOSE and then CONFIRM CLOSE.
7. Turn it off any time
Switch auto-trade off in the bar and the engine stops opening new trades. Positions you already have can still be closed from the window.
Auto-trade is a tool, not a promise. Signals are market information, not personal advice.
